3/22/15 Explain the role of Latino voters in The US: what is the impact

Spanish of Latino voters, what issues matter to them, and how are the
Gillion political parties responding to the rise of Latino voters?

Voting Effects
Hispanics make up a large portion of the United States population with
50,500,000 living nationwide. With changes in immigration reform and citizenship
laws that can heavily affect the lives of a whole demographic, it is not surprising that
there is a large amount of influence to be had. Politicians continue to come up with
different laws that regulate anything from how many people can enter the country
to what to do with those that were not given permission to be in this country.
Since there is such a large portion of the population that is Hispanic, it is
obvious that the amount in this people that could vote in this demographic would
enough to sway decisions on the topics that affect them most. It is clear the topics
that matter most to the Hispanic group is largely issues over immigration,
deportation and economic factors that would either improve or cause further
challenge for those that need economic assistance.
It is clear that there has been a large amount of negative impute put into the
government system in the terms of immigration reform and regulation. A long
waiting list waits for those that seek to enter the country legally although there is
many that flee to the United State with no option but to enter illegally as a way to
escape violence and corruption. A fight continues between the democrats and
republicans over the best way to handle these issues and the laws continue to in
many ways draw a line in the sand in the rights allowed to people. There is also
divides on the best way to assist with education and deportation of people that
enter the country illegally.
Due to the amount of effect the current politics there is a large amount of
effect to be had from Hispanic voters on the terms of these laws because they are
directly affected. In recent elections it was shown that Hispanic voters have began to
lean increasingly more democratic because of democratic politicians presenting a
more favorable response to such a large portion of the population. Especially in the
current elections it is true that there is a strong divide on political issues revolving
around immigration and deportation. The republican standpoints range from
downright insane and impossible to a fairly negative opinion. One republican
nominee for the current presidential elections has gone as far to say that he would
have all illegal immigrants removed from this country.
With such a large amount of the population living in this country in the
Hispanic demographic, the influence over economics and politics is not to be
ignored. Politicians continue to drive voters away by presenting crazy ideas that
make people feel unrepresented, targeted, and overall possibly make them not want
to cast their vote on important issues and laws. There is often a relatively ignorant
atmosphere when it comes to the representation that a large group of people need
when discussing issues that affect them directly and also affect the lives of the
people close to them.
