INWEPF International Network for Water and Ecosystem in Paddy Fields (INWEPF) will
conduct a special workshop on the theme Enhancing the Resilience of Natural Disasters and
Climate Change and Promoting the Modernization of Irrigation Facilities to Realize Sustainable
Paddy Farming.
PAWEES International Society of Paddy and Water Environment Engineering (PAWEES) will
be organizing the main technical session under the banner Smart Management of land, Water and
Environment, and will be divided into themes of
1) Water and Soil Management,
2) Disaster Management and Adaptation,
3) Regional Resource Management and Rural Planning
1) Water and Soil Management Keywords: Higher Production, Modernization of Irrigation, Artificial
Intelligence, Information and Communication Technology, GIS, Remote Sensing, related topics
2) Disaster Management and Adaptation Keywords: Risk Management, Climate Change,
Recovery from Disaster, Resilience, or related topics
3) Regional Resource Management and Rural Planning Keywords: History and Culture,
Smart Rural Development, Renewable Energy, Multi Functionality, Ecosystem Services, or related topics

PROCEEDINGS
A CD copy of the full-paper proceedings will be provided to participants upon registration. The most
outstanding 20 papers will be selected for publication in the April 2019 (vol.16, issue 2) edition of Paddy and
Water Environment (PWE), a peer-reviewed scientific journal publication from the Springer.
