NORML Invades S.F.
38th Annual Conference
Pot Is Still Illegal…For Now

The Grand Hyatt in San Francisco, next to Union

Square, played host to the 38th Annual NORML Con-
ference on September 24th through 26th. The Na-
tional Organization for the Reformation of Marijuana
Laws(NORML) has been holding this conference for
nearly four decades and almost every year since
they began the number of marijuana arrests have
continued to rise. You think they would have given
up by now, but far from it. This conference had a
different feel to it than years past. There was a
buzz in the air and a sense of confidence this year.

event. His welcoming speech set the tone for the three-day affair
as he pondered the relationship between medical cannabis and
the legalization efforts that were under way. St. Pierre’s state-
ments seemed to place the two ideas at odds, as he opened the
door for what was to be a lively set of discussions. Thursday was
dedicated to the medical aspects of cannabis, Friday was fo-
cused mostly on adult use legalization efforts, and Saturday was
organized into a number of breakout sessions on a wide array of
interesting topics where activists could focus more clearly in a
more intimate setting, followed up by discussion panels. The ac-

intently as to how they can be a part of this evolving movement
of change.

The Marijuana legalization movement in California is
bigger than it’s ever been. Currently, there are at least three
groups (and maybe a fourth) pushing to get enough signatures
to put an initiative for Marijuana Legalization on the ballot for

as to what each initiative will do, we present—

Wow…Thanksgiving time already! This month I decided to be

traditional and share with you my favorite way to get a turkey baked,
er, bake a turkey. Not only is this a really simple recipe that tastes
great, it's super medicated. Enjoy this wonderful and very moist
bird. Most of all remember to count your blessings and enjoy your
bountiful harvest.

Baked Turkey
1 box of stuffing mix prepared according to the directions on the box

1 turkey, 18 to 22 pounds
2 large oranges, cut into halves

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Paprika, to taste

A package of turkey lacers (or twine suitable for cooking)
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees

Wash the turkey well, inspecting for pinfeathers, and chop off the
wing tips. Make sure you remove the giblets and other innards. Dry
the turkey inside and out with a kitchen towel.
Squeeze the juice from the 2 oranges all over the outside of the bird

Space Dawg: Snow Dawg (Snowcap x Chemdawg) female x Space Queenmale. The rumor is, Subcool created a bunch of these seeds and gave
them away. The folks who were lucky enough to get seeds were very lucky indeed. Flowers in 8 weeks, with t a cherry, kushy (Kushesque?) flavor.
Mostly indica effects, although the Space Queen gives it a little lift. So we give thanks: Thanks to Ocanabis for the picture, Thanks to Subcool for
creating the seeds, and thanks to Cannabis for being such Good Medicine..... editor@westcoastcannabis. com
