3.00 INTRODUCTION

The TACTS+ series Flow Totalisers are microprocessor based totalisers having
digital indication totalized flow. A variety of electrical input are possible including
two frequency range.

2.00 FEATURES

Two operating modes :

1) Reset Mode (RST)
2) Pressure Mode (PRESSURE)

* Password protection for all modes to avoid accidental erroneous programming by

an authorised person.

*8 digit indication for instantaneous flow rate.

4.00 HARDWARE DESCRIPTION

The DIN standard unit contains modular hardware comprising of display card,
CPU card, SIG card, Communication Card, Rear card for terminals. All these cards are
mounted using connectors for ease of servicing. The cards are powered from different
power supplies with proper isolation between analog-digital & input output section of the
instrument.
The front panel details are shown below in fig. 1.0. Function of each key indications are
explained in section 5.0- OPERATING INSTRUCTION.

The rear panel provides screw type shrouded terminal blocks to facilitate all external
connection. Fig 1.1 shows the details of connections to be made through rear panel.

5.00 OPERATING INSTRUCTION

The TACTS + series FT requires for correct operation. The sequence in which unit
co-operates along with vaild keys at particular instant are given in the table. There are TWO
modes in which FT operates

1) RST ( Reset Mode)

2) PRESSURE (Pressure Mode)

RESET MODE :

In Reset Mode totalizer can be Reset after entering correct password for this mode.
After resetting totalizer value must start from zero.

PRESSURE MODE :

Enter the correct password for pressure mode. In pressure mode you can set the pressure
value by selecting appropriate look up table. Look up table are indicated as
TACTS25/TACTS40/TACTS50/TACTS80/TACTS100. After selecting desired look up table
ENTER the pressure value (2 TO 10). After every pulse totalizer value incremented by
corresponding pressure value in the look up table (Here 50).

NOTE:

The instrument normally operates in RUN mode i.e. It will give eight digit indication for
totalised qty.
