On August 3,2017, the Washington State Bar Association Character and Fitness Board
filed its Findings of Fact and Conclusions ofLaw, which recommended by a 6-3 vote that the
application by Tarra Denelle Simmons to sit for the Washington bar examination be denied. Ms.
Simmons requested review by the Supreme Court and oral argument was held on November 16,
2017. After consideration of the record filed in this case, the briefs of the parties and the oral
argument,the Court unanimously finds that Tarra Denelle Simmons has the requisite moral
character and fitness to practice law in the State of Washington and therefore the following order
is entered, with an opinion to be filed at a later date.

NOW,THEREFORE,it is hereby ordered:

That Tarra Denelle Simmons shall be allowed to sit for the Washington bar examination.
