Final Independent Study Project
Note: Class time will not be provided for the completion of this assignment.
Students will be given 4 weeks to complete.
Instructions:
By following the Information Strategy that we discussed over the course of the
term, complete the following,
1. Choose a Social Justice Problem of interest review one of the videos found
on our class website.
2. Research your Social Justice Problem by using credible online resources,
journals, blogs, videos and sources.
3. Critique sources and multimedia texts for Accuracy, Authority, Objectivity,
Currency and Coverage.
4. Complete the attached note-taking sheets using your sources. Record the
APA reference information for each source used.
5. Create an online reflection post (min. 4) on our class website.
6. Create a research report in a multimedia format using YouTube, PowerPoint,
Prezi, PowToon or any other approved medium of 5-7 mins in length.
Due Dates:
November 20, 2017 Upload rough draft to Google Classroom Project Forum for
feedback. Provide feedback/review to two (2) other drafts and respond via the
online chat tool within Google Classroom.
