Fire crews today recovered a body of an adult male in the building at 206
Main Ave. Under the direction of the County Medical Examiner, the victim
was removed and transported to SMC for an autopsy.

Fire Investigators have determined that the fire originated in the basement of
that address near a wood burning heating appliance. The exact cause is
being listed as undetermined until all agencies involved can review
statements and documents collected during the on scene investigation.

The building was razed due to its after fire condition for the safety of nearby
residences. The street remains closed to through traffic at the time of this
release.
