- The selected Maintenance Manual section for a given task (3.A.a and 3.A.d)
- The selected conditions that can allow an aircraft to dispatch (3.A.a and 3.A.d)

TROUBLESHOOTING EXERCISES
GENERAL

The Objective Exercise is a hands-on exercise that will be done for selected complaints on the training engine.

The student will use the latest revision of the maintenance manual, special maintenance tooling, and standard tooling to
do his or her objective exercise.

The complaints selected for this exercise are based on the latest field data. The instructor looks at the latest Delay,
Cancellation, and shop visit data to get these examples.

Identified Complaints: Page

Engine No.2 has oil leakage coming from the 4
forward sump drain line at a rate of 30 drops
per minute.
During taxi, Engine No. 1 PMC light came on. 5
During engine run, the oil quantity increased, 6
and oil pressure decreased.
Pilot reports increased EGT on takeoff. 7
Throttle retarded to prevent EGT exceedence.
Crew recorded no light off with the LH ignition 8
system. Crew changed to the RH ignition
system and entered into DDL for rectification.
On shutdown, fuel leak seen from No. 4 drain 9
(HPTCCV/RH VSV actuator).
At approximately 86%, engine vibration 10
showed between 3.0 to 3.2 units.
