GOAL

How to use the AUTO_SAMPLE_SIZE feature that is provided by the FND_STATS in the 11g database?

SOLUTION

Once the latest patch is applied "estimate_percent" parameter will be getting the default value as
dbms_stats.auto_sample_size.

* Do not pass any value for the "Estimate Percent" sample size.

* A blank value will be treated as NULL, which in turn will make use of the default: auto_sample_size.

This is based on bug: 11835452 - FND_STATS SHOULD SUPPORT AUTO_SAMPLE_SIZE NEW FEATURE OF DBMS_STATS FROM
DB 11.
