Taj Mahal, Agra

Taj Mahal, situated in Agra is a perfect blend of Indian, Mughal and Persian architecture.
It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. He started work on Taj Mahal in 1632 and
completed it in 1643. Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World HeritageSite.

The center of attractions in Agra is the tomb of Taj Mahal. Built with white marble, Taj
Mahal holds the grave of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is a symbol of eternal
love. The walls of Taj Mahal have beautiful carvings and inscriptions from Quran. The
inner chamber is decorated with gemstones. Taj Mahal is surrounded by Charbagh. River
Yamuna flows near Taj Mahal.

2. Red Fort, Delhi

1) Red Fort is was constructed by Mughal King Shah Jahan in 1648.
