Crump, Memphis, _| Shelby County, Tennessee. Detectives were looking for a black Ford F150 King Ranch (Tag) that was reported stolen in Offerise Report 17-25612 on 08/29/17. The Owner of the truck was tracking it via GPS and relaying the location to Officer Burrage, The GPS stated the truck was parked in front of 384 E. Crump. Detectives identified the truck through the description provided by Officer Burrage at 384 E. After Memphis Police Officers made the scene to assist, the truck was discovered to be unlocked and unoccupied. Detective Hatley check the businesses in the strip mall. There were four subjects working inside an abandoned shop. Detectives Anderson and Hatley observed Kurtrell C. Williams wearing dark pants with a neon strip down the side and black sandals and no shirt. Williams fit the exact physical description of the suspect scene stealing the truck in Offense Report 17-2562. Williams was also seen wearing a black Pittsburgh Steelers shirt. The Steelers shirt was located in the same building, approximately 20 feet from Williams behind a wooded counter. Detective Hatley handcuffed Williams and advised him of his Miranda Rights. Williams denied stealing ‘anything even after being showed pictures of himself. The key to the Ford F150 King Ranch was not located. The reported credit'cards and cash were also not inside the vehicle. All other reported items were still inside the truck While in route to Germantown HQ, Germantown Officer Skaggs located the stolen Nissan Rogue that was reported in Offense Report 17-25048. Det. Anderson obtained surveillance footage of the theft in Offense Report 17-25048 and the suspect fit Williams’ exact physical description and was still wearing the same pants when he was arrested. See Officer Skaggs Offense Report recovering the vehicle. Detective Hatley processed the stolen Ford F150 for Latent fingerprints and recovered one print from. the driver's side door panel above the handle. The print was placed into evidence. Pictures of the vehicle were also taken. Per the victim of Offense Report 17-25612, the Ford F150 was locked and left for his recovery. Memphis Police took an Offense Report to report the truck recovered, Officer Graves transported Williams from 384 E. Crump to Germantown HA Interview Room. Detectives ‘Anderson and Hatley attempted to interview Williams, however he refused to state it was him in the pictures. Det. Hatley handcuffed Williams and escorted him to Germantown Jail through BB. He was then processed. He refused a phone call, was fingerprinted, photographed, and housed in MS. a wassidvised of his 09/27/17 court date. ‘See Det.
