Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Community School District

Individual Career Development Plan

Growth Plan

Name: Renee Weisenstein

Implementation Date: 2016-2017

General Focus of the Plan: Make at least one parent contact each week by email, phone, or face-to-
face meeting.

Specific Goals in relationship to Garner-Hayfield-Venturas Comprehensive School Improvement Plan

and District goals:
The goal is to increase parent involvement in their students academics. Several students are taking a
class for a second time and may benefit from more parent involvement this year.

Rationale for the Plan:

What student learning will this Plan address and what baseline data will be used to analyze the
progress?

This plan will address increased parent involvement in student academics. Research supports that
parent involvement increases student achievement. I will not have any baseline data to analyze
progress; instead, I will use perceived positive outcomes of each parent contact to monitor progress.

How will the strategies of this ICDP lead to accomplishing these goals?

Any parent contact that is made will be documented on a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet will be
organized by week, so I will be able to tell if I did not make a parent contact during a certain week.

Check the Iowa Teaching Standards that are addressed in this Plan:
