General Focus of the Plan: Make at least one parent contact each week by email, phone, or face-to-
face meeting.
This plan will address increased parent involvement in student academics. Research supports that
parent involvement increases student achievement. I will not have any baseline data to analyze
progress; instead, I will use perceived positive outcomes of each parent contact to monitor progress.
How will the strategies of this ICDP lead to accomplishing these goals?
Any parent contact that is made will be documented on a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet will be
organized by week, so I will be able to tell if I did not make a parent contact during a certain week.

Individual Career Development Plan
The Individual Career Development Plan allows the teacher to develop, implement, monitor,
and evaluate progress toward individual outcomes which are specific to your unique professional
needs.
I. Initial Conference
During this time, we will be discussing your desired outcomes for the year. We
will discuss steps to achieve outcomes, resources needed, timelines, indicators
of progress, and evidence of achievement.
Informal observations will take place during the year to assess progress toward the
desired outcomes. A mid-year conference and observation discussions will be used as a
means of communication between you and the principal. The conferences will include
discussion of progress toward outcomes. Mid-Year self-reflection sheet needs to be
completed prior to the conference.

plan with you; your principal will ask questions to assist you, including conversation on measurable data
for student achievement.
