UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT

MIDDLE DISTRICT OF FLORIDA
JACKSONVILLE DIVISION

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

vs. Case No. 3:16-cr-93-J-32JRK

CORRINE BROWN

ORDER DENYING MOTION TO CONTINUE SENTENCING

Defendant Corrine Browns Motion to Continue Sentencing (Doc. 205), to which the

government responded in opposition (Doc. 207), is denied. The parties have been aware

of the November 16, 2017 sentencing date since August 16, 2017. See Order, Doc. 201.

Defendant has not articulated why a continuance of at least four months is justified. While

the Court is sympathetic to Ms. Browns circumstances following the hurricane, it is in the

interest of justice for the sentencing to go forward as scheduled. If defendant can

demonstrate at the sentencing hearing that there is some document or information that she

was unable to obtain, the Court will consider at that time whether to allow her additional time

to produce it. Any sentencing memorandum or other written materials remain due no later

than November 8, 2017. See Order, Doc. 201.

DONE AND ORDERED at Jacksonville, Florida this 26th day of October, 2017.
