The classroom blog created using Edublogs will become a year-long source to support student learning. Not
only will special information and websites be listed on the blog, the flipped classroom page will provide a
special location for activities and projects that will be completed throughout the school year. Students will
have the opportunity to work independently or collaboratively with others.
Students who do not have access to the Internet from home will be given special work times throughout
the school day to help support the needs of these students. The website will serve as an introduction, review
or extension to a topic covered within the classroom.

Importance of technology:
Technology in schools today is becoming essential for students learning. Using technology in the classrooms
is helping teachers make lessons more interactive, which make students more engaged in the lesson. Using a
classroom blog can help parents who are not sure what is going on in the classroom or parents who cant read
English. Even though this is a blog students who are visual impaired can still use this because they will be able
to hear instructions. This is a great way to connect with families and make sure you are doing everything you
can to help a students learning progress.

Classroom Blog and Website Creation Tools
Internet safety and student privacy are major concerns in schools today so as a teacher we must make sure
we are following guidelines set by FERPA and CIPA. Teachers should not be posting a students personal
information like their grade level or their first and last name. Teachers must also have the parents permission
in order to use their childs work as an example.

Describe your personal learning goal for this activity.
My personal goal for this activity is to continually put activities on my blog to help those who are blind or to
help ELL students or those with hearing impairments. I also want to make my classroom blog a resource for
parents to refer to if they have any questions about any content or things that are going on in the classroom.
