TEACHERS PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy of education is grounded in the belief that an important aspect

of Education is to provide students with knowledge and skills that they will need to

become productive and confident. The success of each students is the goal of every

aspect of my teaching. An important part of establishing that success by providing

students a positive learning environment, allow students to develop their own learning

and encourage respect for others.

Students are successful in an environment where they are comfortable with the content

they are learning, but also with the manner in which it is delivered. I believe that we

have to provide students with this culture of learning but with support. An environment

where each students approach encourages to feel to express their ideas and ask

question.

Allowing students to develop their own learning is another important elements in

education. Students can only lead when they have been given the opportunity to learn

how to lead. The teaching strategies that I employ in my classroom are purposively

designed so that the students are actively engaged in the learning process. To develop

teachers that will lead the way, means allowing them to practice the skills they will

lead to provide that environment for their own students.

OBSERVATION REPORT NUMBER 1

Name of Observed Teacher: Dr. Aileen Maningas

Subject: Assessment of Learning

Students Observed: BTTE- Civil Technology III

Time: 3:30-5:00 p.m

Room: 203

Ma'am Maningas arrived at exact 4:00 p.m in the afternoon. She did not check the

attendance. Before she discuss the new lesson she asked to her students what is the previous

topic and after that she discuss "What is a Test". Ma'am Maningas used a power point

presentation to see her students what they discuss. She discuss it clearly and they give

example to understand better of the students. She called some students to read on the topic,

and ma'am Maningas discuss it. She explain the topic very well.

OBSERVATION REPORT NUMBER 2

Name of Observed Teacher: Dr. Nona D. Nagares

Subject: Principles of Teaching

Students Observed: BTTE-Electronics III

Time: 10:30-12:00 p.m

Room: 204

Dr. Nona started the class at 10:40 a.m first she checked the attendance then she

review her students about the last topic which is Management of Instruction. During reviewing

her students are listening and they answer. After reviewing, the group who reported last

meeting distributed the quiz about the Management of Instruction to his/her classmates. The

learner's answered the quiz silently

After the quiz the next reporter discuss the new topic which is about Learning Activities. The

learners are listening to the reporter in front. The reporter discuss the Different Types of

Learning Activities they discuss in tagalog but very clear.

As I observed some students are bored and some are listening actively. Some topic that did not

clear by the reporter Dr. Nona helped them to explain it to understand better of the learners.

The group reported in front used a power point presentation. They discuss the topic clearly and

the students will learned. After discussion Dr. Nona assigned the cleaners to arrange the chairs

and to clean the room and she dismissed the class at 12:00 p.m.

NARRATIVE REPORT

From my observation and experience, I learned about the roles and

responsibilities of a teacher, I'm inspired by them to be a good teacher someday.

I have observed that the classroom organization as well as the procedures and the

students individual characteristics were just common to every classroom. Daily procedure

and routines were done as scheduled. I as an overview of the lesson. The teacher let her

student to practice in teaching by reporting some topic they used power point presentation.

The lesson was organized in a manner that the objectives were presented to be

perceived by the students. The materials, methods and procedure of the lesson were

successfully executed.

From observation, I learned inside and outside the classroom. I observed teachers, the

students and the classrooms. I learned how to make a power point presentation, the hand out

for the student and also I learn how make a lesson plan. I learned how to manage the

classroom and how to adjust myself to the environment of the students. Doing those

things is not totally easy but as a teacher you can do it for the students. I learn that because of

observation but I still have a lot to learn and the things I need to learn will be gathered

when I apply for a teaching job. To teach is to learn as they say. The students are not

the only one learning in the process the good teacher also learns from her students that

make her a lifelong learner.

This field study that is considered to be an. enriching experience in developing

and utilizing the appropriate strategies to facilitate learning was a wonderful experience

not just to be kept as memory to be rememberedss but it should be kept in our heart.
