Name of the tool Edmoto
Where to access www.edmoto.com
this tool (web
address)
Brief instructions Edmoto is a strictly online-based website that allows teachers, students,
of how to use the and parents to efficiently and effectively monitor and complete
tool assignments. The teacher is able to create an account for each individual
student with their own student access code to sign in. Parents are also
able to receive their own code from their childs account and may sign
into the websites themselves. This tool can be extremely helpful because
the teacher can assign homework, inform families about upcoming tests
or other scheduled academic activities, as well as extracurriculars
happening within the school. Teachers can also interact with other
faculty which is useful when collaborating on testing schedules or
curriculum.
Ideas for how the Elementary Education
tool can be used This tool can be used to keep the students, and their parents, aware of their
in PK-12 homework, and upcoming assignments.
Anyone with an account can view the teachers page, so that page turns into a
community forum where questions can be asked and answered promptly.
The accounts are customizable, so these are perfect introductory outlets for the
kids at the beginning of the school year.
Special ribbons can be awarded for good behavior, perfect attendance, and other
virtuous deeds, which makes it a great incentive for the students to listen, finish
their assignments, and do as they are told.
Middle/High school Education
This tool can be used by teachers to post homework, classwork, and other
scheduled academic assignments like tests and quizzes.
Students can also customize their accounts and introduce themselves, and since the
level of education is higher, you can require them to post weekly and reply to their
peers posts as well.
Edmoto is extremely interactive, which means that students can collaborate with
each other on group projects, or community discussions where they can interact in
an environment that is student-driven. They can be placed into groups on the
website and can work together in their own group account. The teacher can also
oversee all groups on the page, which can allow the teacher to monitor progress,
answer any questions, and intervene if needed.
The individualistic setting that student accounts create can also help to keep
students accountable when it comes to keeping track of assignments and to make-
up their work if they miss a class period.
All Learning Levels
Edmoto can be used in PK-12 by teachers to assign classwork/homework and
schedule quizzes and tests, so that students and their parents are informed about all
due dates.
This tool is also an effective communication tool between: teachers and students,
parents and teachers, and students and students. Everyone who is active in the
educational setting can interact with each other.

Assignment
Positives and Positives
challenges of Edmoto is very interactive, and can be accessed by teachers, students, and parents;
using the tool This provides all with a common place to meet and review assignments.
It is a great tool to teach independence and accountability to students. They are
required to sign in to see what assignments they have due, and what exams need to
be studied for. It is the students responsibility to run their own account, and this
helps students learn accountability; By giving them a tangible outlet for their
efforts, the students can see a direct reflection of their efforts in class.
Collaboration is useful in the classroom, especially between students because they
learn well from people who are on a similar educational level. They can discuss
ideas and works with other students who are working on the same assignments
who can provide unique and relevant feedback.
Having a forum that can be informational, personal, and creative is important
when it comes to students. They can attain the educational information easily,
which will hopefully lower miscommunication between teachers and students
about their studies. The personal and creative aspects of the tool are useful because
it might get students more interested in school.
Negatives
Since this is strictly an online-based tool, students might not be as proactive with
utilizing it because they may forget to check their accounts. Having access to it at
home may be negative since they do not have a teacher monitoring their every
move, like they would in a classroom. This might contribute to students missing or
forgetting assignments.
The student accounts can be viewed by the public, which is unsafe in an
educational environment.

Name of the tool Titan Pad
Where to access Titanpad.com
this tool (web
address)
Brief instructions Titan Pad is a word processor, like Word, but it allows people to work on
of how to use the and edit documents simultaneously. You go to the website, create an
tool account, or write freely. Once you start writing under your name, there
are ways for a person to log in with you and you can see them edit your
work. You can see the correction that was made, who it was made by
and the time. Each editors work will be in a different color.
Ideas for how the When writing papers in school, if a student wants the teacher to review
tool can be used their work, the teacher can make corrections and see their students work
in PK-12 right away.
Positives and Pros to using this tool would be to save on paper waste and time when
challenges of doing assignments. Instead of having each student individually print out
using the tool papers, turn them in to be edited, and then re submitted for grading, the
teacher could log on and see students papers as they work on them,
allowing the changes to be made as they go and before they are printed.
A negative to using this tool is that this may be a little time consuming.
If the teacher cannot log on with the students as they are working, then
it may be hard for them to work on it together. Also, it may take the
teacher a lot of time to get to each student so some kids may wait
longer than others to have their work checked. Another negative would
be if the system decided it wanted to shut down, how would people get
their feedback off the website? The teacher would be stuck doing
everything over again.

in PK-12 This tool is also an effective communication tool between: teachers and students,
