Political speech analysis

President Trump presented his first speech to the United Nation General

Assembly on September 19, 2017. His ambition to make this country better as

the president has been delivered to all the audiences in New York. He threw

out a punch to North Korea while none of the speakers in UN would use

such offensive language. He built up his credibility and inspires allies

throughout the speech for his first time speaking at the UN Assembly. His

ideas seem controversial on the way he built credibility, why should the UN

destroy North Korea with him, and why would the UN have to put

sovereignty as the highest priority.

Throughout the speech, President Trump mainly focuses on a few points.

At the beginning of his speech, he mentioned that the exact date after he was

elected as well as how well the American society has grown after he was

elected. The low unemployment and healthy stocks market he was talking

about is an appeal to hasty generalization. There arent any sufficient

evidences could demonstrate what he did promote the United States,

however, it could demonstrate his credibility as a president. No matter what

causes the promotion of the economy and society wealth, they were grown

fine since he was elected. He also brought up the increase in spending on

military and defense. He perfectly demonstrates the power of America to his

audiences by showing his ambitious and Americas military power. His

credibility was well built because he is the president of the most powerful

nation in the world. He has the power, he can talk to the audiences at New

York.

After building up his credibility, he referred to each individual nation itself

that All responsible leaders have an obligation to serve their own citizens,

and the nation-state remains the best vehicle for elevating the human

condition. He indicated his point of view on sovereignty that he would

always put America in the first place as well as the other leaders to their

country. He clearly appeals to the bandwagon that he trusts all the country

would follow his lead on putting their country at the very first place. He built

the priority mission for those countries so that they could easily follow his path

on totally destroy North Korea.

Also, America is already engaging on repression to radical Islamic

terrorism. In Syria and Iraq, we have made big gains toward lasting defeat of

ISIS. He claimed America has gained a huge advantage on the middle east

battlefield. In conclusion, America is supporting multiple regions in the world

at the same time. Trump is inspiring the United Nation to help the Islamic

countries while he appeals to bandwagon again to get his audiences flow in

his easier path again. By listing tragedies done by enemies to the world with
the evidence of the poor guy who dies because of North America, he inspired

all the country to pay attention to this dangerous government.

To persuade the allies, he did not simply call them aim at their enemies.

Instead, he points out the enemies could harm every nations citizens and

their new generations of children by violence, hatred, and fear. This part of the

speech appeal to the slippery slope and begging question. Audiences must

consider their citizens safety and future. Trump makes a critical point to his

audiences that they are the leaders who should think about their people

before engaging in any actions. They would have to consider joining America

with destroy the North Korea and end the terrorism in the Middle East. We

will stop radical Islamic terrorism because we cannot allow it to tear up our

nation, and indeed to tear up the entire world. The radical Islamic terrorism is

harmful. In order to protect every nation, this is the only way to prevent

tragedy. He appeals to the slippery slope to shape his audiences' mind. The

connection between countries was built. He implies if all the countries in the

United Nation could work as what he said, all the threat would be harmless to

their people. He easily injects ideas into audiences mind.

In Trumps first UN Assembly speech, his words seem a little too

offensive. He logically analyzes the situation and strongly persuades the

United Nation with rhetorical appeals. However, sometimes his points are too

strong with his point of view that people would disagree his speech and
action. The disagreements make his points a bit controversial than the way it

should be.
