Nothing but Lies

The truth, What is it? Everyone has their own definition for it, what you think is

true may be a lie to others. The truth can be bended and manipulated we will never get

the full truth because humans are not capable to tell the full truth. The concept of truth is

faulty. In the real world, truth cannot be defined the same as in the dictionary. Simply,

we can define truth as: a statement about the way the world actually is,(Pardi 7).The

government conceals the truth, trying not to affect the public, so no one has knowledge

on what actually happens behind closed doors. Who can blame them our society is built

on lies mankind is not worthy enough to know the truth, like why are we here, and

where do we go when we die? Both great questions that over time humanity try to

answer and now, in the current day we carry those hypothesis like if they were the truth.

The government lies to the public covering up a lot of horroriable truths keeping is out

of harms way what you dont know cannot hurt you.

Allowing the government to continue to lie about certain situations, such as

terrorism in the United States, covering up horrible attacks and war, collecting data on

millions of Americans, and how citizens Social Security money is actually being used,

are affecting the public. Not only does it undermine the overall maturity of how citizens

will react to new information, it also forces the citizens into a belittled mind state,(Mack

16). Individuals that are concerned for the hidden truths feel as if the government has

low expectations for the citizens. Even if the U.S. government is accepted as the

strongest nation in the world, the people feel weak because of the greed and

insecurities of the government. Whether the people should be told about everything

from the government or not causes disputations.

There are many commodities that are needed to be kept confidential because

some people wont be able to handle the truth. If the government provided every graphic

detail, society would be spreading riots everywhere and be paranoid and stressed every

single day of their lives. Governments need confidentiality for consultations during

negotiations on treaties, agreements, and joint actions,(Bhuiyan 21). Certain

information and data regarding ongoing operations must remain a secret. But, the

secrets must be checked with as much openness about intentions and capabilities as

possible. In particular, to avoid war, openness is an advantage. Openness and

transparency to the people can also aide in delegitimizing terrorists causes because too

much work on terrorism focused by too much people is being done on the basis of

secrecy. The governments ways of hiding the real truth from everyone is contrasting

what truth is really defined by.

The truth defined by the government is to conceal the real truth, in order to not

affect the public. Mankind can positively accept the governments decisions in not

revealing the truth about everything. Or, they can still argue and disagree with them until

they think they are going to get what they want. Either way, the altercations about if the

government should reveal everything or not will always be a unending discussion.
