Sun Scope Steps

1. Remove the lid from your shoebox using scissors.

2. Using black paint, paint the inside of the shoebox so that there are no gaps
in the black. While you are waiting for the paint to dry (you may need more
than one coat of black paint) please start researching the terms on the iPad or
in your textbook and create a rough draft for the three sides and the bottom.
3. Come see Miss Yaremcio or Mr. Tiffin so that they can make the cuts in
your shoebox for your light hole and the sun-light hole.
4. Cut paper to fit the three sides and the bottom of the shoe box. DO NOT
attach the papers to the shoebox yet.
5. On the paper do the good copies of your requirements. Once done, attach
them to the box.
6. Attach a piece of white paper to the inside of the box, on the opposite side
of the light holes.
7. Cut a piece of paper just bigger than the middle hole. Cut the tinfoil using
this paper as reference.
8. Attach the tinfoil to the middle hole with tape.
9. Poke a small hole in the middle of the tinfoil.
10. Complete the worksheet.
11. Fill in the group work assessment and self assessment.
12. Staple the worksheet, the group work; self and partner assessment, and the
rubric together and hand them in to Miss Yaremcio.
