IHC Welcomes New Principal

Officials at Immaculate Heart Central School are pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs.
Lynise Lassiter as principal of Immaculate Heart Central School effective January 2, 2018. Mrs.
Lassiter will be replacing Mr. Joseph Orobona, who has been interim principal since September.
Mrs. Lassiter is an experienced and successful teacher and has been at IHC for the past two
years. She comes highly qualified for the position of principal.
Mrs. Lassiter earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Religion and Education from
Hunter College. She earned her Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Educational
Leadership from Oakland University, Michigan.
In addition to classroom instruction at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as
a college instructor for over ten years, she has developed and facilitated professional
development workshops for school faculties, developed and revised curricula, trained teachers
and has participated on school and district-level committees.
IHC is very happy to welcome Mrs. Lynise Lassiter as our principal and is confident that our
school will continue to provide a quality Catholic education and a place for our faculty and
students to grow under her expertise and enthusiasm.
