1. FO cable Connectivity need to establish between the EP-01 to EP-03 and EP-01 to EP-02
independently. As per the design the FO connectivity need to establish from EP-01 to EP-02 and
EP-02 to EP-03. Following are implications :
a) Additional FO cable 2.4 Kms needs to supply by JSPL and same need to be erected.
b) Required additional conduit to be supply of approximately 2.4Kms by client.

Required network Hardware and software, we will check with ABB and revert.

2. Following conveyors/ Equipments are deleted as per site conditions. Which are in the scope as
per MOM dt. 13th April, 2012:
a) Conveyors J11BC1/J11BC2/J11CC1/J11C2
b) Flap gates J11CFG1/J11CFG2

The above feeders are deleted second time after deletion once during project work. At present,
programming has done including these conveyors and Flap Gates in the circuits. Now for second
time deletion in the programming, we need to discuss with ABB and revert accordingly.

3. DE system is again included at the crusher house which is not in scope as per the MOM dt.13th
April, 2012. For addition, we will discuss with ABB and will revert back.
4. Based on the site conditions JSPL shifted following feeders from EP-02 to EP-03 Substation
building:

5. Following feeders are temporarily shifted from the EP-02 to EP-01 by JSPL:
Sl. No. Equipment tag Design feeder Present feeder
1. Conveyor J9C2 HT motor feeder EP-02 , HV MCC -17 EP-03 , HV MCC -10
2. Conveyor J10C2 HT motor feeder EP-02 , HV MCC -7 EP-03 , HV MCC -11
3. Control scheme for HT panel J9C2 EP-02, MCC-02A,12F-A Not Finalized
4. Control scheme for HT panel J10C2 EP-02, MCC-02A,13F-B Not Finalized
5. DC Electromagnetic Breaks J9C2 EP-02, MCC-02A,14F-C Not Finalized
6. DC Electromagnetic Breaks J10C2 EP-02, MCC-02A,15F-B Not Finalized
7. J9 Siren EP-02, MCC-02A,3F-C Not Finalized
8. J10 Siren EP-02, MCC-02A,14F-B Not Finalized

All the above changes are temporarily shifted by JSPL.

6. From PCS, separate hardwire NC contact is taken from field to MCC for the PCS hardware
interlock with MCC. As per the design, PCS trip potential free contact from belt watch panel to
be used for hardware interlock.
7. From BSS, separate hardwire NC contact is taken from field to MCC for the BSS hardware
interlock with MCC. As per the design, BSS trip potential free contact from belt watch panel to
be used for hardware interlock.
8. For the J11C2 and J12C2 conveyors, 2 nos. of the 24V cable loops are done as these conveyors
are huge length. Also the loops are defined in the zigzag fashion in two circuits, due to this
addressing of the switches are very complex in nature during maintenance.
As per the engineering inputs only one loop is defined. Even in case of the two loops, we can
suggest right hand side one loop and left hand side one loop, because the system will always
refers the continuous numbering only.
9. JSPL informed to delete the ‘PLC permissive commend for all the feeders in the PLC IO list” and
short the terminals at the MCC side for each feeder.
As per the Design, PLC permissive is required as safety point of view, without knowledge of the
operator field operations are not allowed.

10. JSPL informed, 33KV CICO (Cable Input Cable Output) panel feeders to be monitor & control
from PLC. The above is the new requirement from JSPL.
11. JSPL informed, inter panel outgoing feeders at 6.6KV panel at EP-01 to be monitor and control
from PLC. The above is the new requirement from JSPL.
12. JSPL informed the Main contactor feedback is not required for the following feeders. Same to be
delete in the PLC IO assignment:
a) DC Electromagnetic break
b) Siren
13. JSPL informed to L&T, similar nomenclature for all Auxiliary /power contactor to be used for all
type of feeders. Example, k11 used for Pull cord switch then same to used for all type of motor
DOL/RDOL feeders. L&T checked with panel supplier and informed that changes will have impact

on internal panel wiring & ferrule numbers. L&T informed this requirement can be taken care in
future for more clarity of drawings.
14. JSPL informed to provide the separate cable walk way for HT cable tray .L&T informed that
separate HT cable tray walkway is not in our scope. Finally L&T /JSPL mutually decided to take
the HT cable tray at top corner of conveyor gallery considering safety precautions.
15. JSPL informed that local/remote selection shall be from MCC instead of LCS. L&T informed as
there is no Provision for Local /selection in MCC and this scheme has been prepared based on
the JSPL input.
16. JSPL informed to L&T test Push button is not required for DOL/RDOL feeders.
17. L&T informed all the above mentioned points are referring huge changes in complete
documentation and design engineering with respective contract and approved drawings. L&T
will revert after estimation of time and cost implications to incorporate above changes.
18. JSPL needs to check the following points and provide the revised documents accordingly:
a) JB terminal details for the interface IOs with SCR, WT, PF and DRI and CHP plant as per MOM
dt. 13thApril, 2012
b) Belt watch indicators are not available for the J2C1 & J2C2. Spare feeders are used as below:
- J2C1 PCS – M4 at GCP-01
- J2C1 BSS – M9 at GCP-01
- J2C2 PCS – M5 at GCP-01
- J2C2 BSS – M10 at GCP-01
c) At the ILMS panel feedback signals to be configure as per earlier comments provided to JSPL
for terminating
d) At the Fluidomatpanel , for the DO commands 240 V potential signals are required. Our PLC
system has potential free outputs. Accordingly fluidomat panel inputs need to configure for
accept potential free input.
e) For the Voith scoop panel, for scoop in and scoop out commands, no terminals available in
JB and panels are not available at field.

19. Following documents are need to revise for complete all the above jobs:
a) PLC System architecture
b) PLC IO List with IO assignment
c) Cable schedules (Power & Control)
d) Instrumentation & control Cable Termination Schedule
e) Communication cable Schedule
f) Design basis report
g) Electrical and instrument control cable scheme for conveyor
h) Control philosophy

Which require almost redesign of the system completely. This involves much time and financial
implication to us and ABB also.
