I. OBJECTIVES

Along the course of the 48-minute activity, the students should be able to:
 recall the lessons they have learned from the previous meetings;
 show readiness to participate in an interactive review of the past lessons; and,
 write down all the notes posted on the board.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

 Topic: “Active and Passive Voice, English Collocation, Verb Tenses, and Transitional Words”
 Reference: “Introduction to English Grammar” by Betty Azar
 Time Allotment: 48 minutes
 Instructional Materials: Manila Paper, Pentel Pen

III. PROCEDURE

A. Daily Routine
 Prayer
 Attendance
 Quick Clean-up
 Vocabulary of the Day

B. Motivation

 The students will be greeted by the teacher and will be asked about how they are they feeling today.
 The teacher will ask if the students have eaten their breakfast.
 The students will be grouped into four and ask each group orally to share what they have learned
during the past meetings.
 The teacher will manage to minimize the noise by asking questions to the non-participative students.
 The teacher will check the readiness of the students.

C. Presentation
 The teacher will post the notes on the board and ask the students to copy everything.
 The students will be ordered to observe silence while copying.
 The teacher will give the students 20 minutes to finish writing

D. Analysis
 Why do you think the concluding sentence must not be placed at the center of the paragraph?
 What will happen to my paragraph if I do not add a concluding sentence?
 How do you convert the active voice of a past perfect tense into its passive voice?
 Do you think a verb in its passive form more compelling than the verb which is in its active voice? Why?
 Does the excessive use of transitional words make the paragraph look good? Why?

E. Abstraction
 The students will be asked to give the most significant points they have learned during that day.
 The teacher will give the students the opportunity to share how they value the lessons they have learned
in relation to their real life.

IV. ASSESSMENT
 The students will be assessed formatively through their oral interaction with the teacher.

V. ASSIGNMENT

 The students will be required to study in advance their notes for the upcoming examination.
