This is a picture of the governor of California during the 1970s Edmund “Jerry” Brown.
This image was the background of our California Agricultural Labor Relations Act Page
as we talk about Jerry’s signing of the act. The picture was taken a year after the signing
of the act.

This cartoon encourages farmworkers to vote for Teamsters as it is stated in the


paragraph below, the Teamsters are the nation’s strongest union that will help improve
farmworker's working conditions. This cartoon was used in our California Agricultural
Labor Relations Act page to show the ways in which Teamsters tried to get votes, unlike
the other cartoon, this one does not mention the UFW.

This cartoon tries to encourage farmers to vote for the Teamsters as their union of choice.
The man that is titled “farmworkers” is on a path to a better life thanks to his release from
the ball and chain with UFW written on it.. Next to him there is a key that says
“Teamsters” on it symbolizing the freedom which one would receive by voting for the
Teamsters. The paragraph below the cartoon encourages workers to join the brotherhood
which will supposedly result in better wages, healthcare, and work conditions. We chose
this image as it contradicts with the corrupt reality of the Teamsters and shows the UFW
in undeservingly bad light. This image is part of our California Agricultural Labor
Relations Act page as in ties into the elections section and shows the ways that the
Teamsters tried to get votes.

We used this website to count how many cases have gone through the Agricultural Labor
Relations Board to show that the CARLA has been and still is being used today to solve
over a thousand cases in our conclusion. .

vastly used by protesters during the labor strikes Huelga is the Spanish word for strike,
and Huelga was shouted by many at the rallies. This image also shows Cesar as a leader
at the rally. This picture was used on the Front Lines page of our website to show an
example of a rally.

The Teamster has an extremely angry face on him and the girl in the image looks
helpless. This image was used as the background for our Teamsters and Growers page as
it shows the abuse the Teamsters inflicted on the members of the UFW.

scare the UFW that was largely made up of women and children.
