Measured by: A consistent quiet time every day that
involves reading the Bible. Meditates on and hides
Scripture in his heart on a regular basis. Seeks godly
counsel and prays over decisions. Devoted to the
teaching of the Word, fellowship, and prayer. Not afraid
to bring God up in a conversation with anyone. Capable
of identifying a “God-sighting” when asked.
(Somewhat of a culmination of all the qualities).

Loves Others
A person who has a love for others, regardless of
who they are or what they have done, equivalent to
the love he/she has for himself/herself. –Matt.
22:39
Measured by: Regularly prays for other’s needs within
their circle of influence. Constantly engages in
deepening friendships with others inside and outside
their network via meals, hangouts, and other
entertainment. Readily available to meet needs of others
within their sphere of influence.

Devoted To Prayer
A person who prioritizes prayer and sees it not as an
event, but as an ongoing communication with God.
–1 Thess. 5:17
Measured by: Frequent prayer times throughout the
week. Engages in a ‘prayer week calendar’ that includes
praying with at least 3 other friends each week. Has a
‘VIP’ list of at least 5 believing and non-believing friends
that he prays for on a weekly basis. Frequently offers to
pray for someone in need on the spot.

Makes Disciples
A person who understands Christ’s mission and
actively attempts to help others become better
followers of Jesus Christ. –Matt. 28:18-20; 2 Tim.
2:2
Measured by: Discipled by at least one older and more
mature believer than they are. Consistent monthly
meetings with their disciple as well as meeting with at
least one lost and one saved friend. Verbally shares the
lessons learned from their discipler. Repeats the same
style of learning with his/her disciple. Encourages
disciple to do the same with the focus of multiplication.

Cares for the Lost
A person who has a compassionate desire to
connect with those who don’t know Christ, and
meets their needs in any way possible. –Lk 15
Measured by: A person who is labeled as ‘a friend of
sinners.’ One who has a compassionate and non-
judgmental attitude towards others who are lost.
Actively engages with the lost by inviting them to
church events, hangouts, meals, etc. Readily available to
meet needs of lost people within their sphere of
influence.

Obedient to God’s Commands
A person who values God’s law and views it as a
way to deepen his/her friendship with Christ. –
John 15:10
Measured by: Someone who knows and lives by
Scripture. Their decision making process uses the Bible
as their filter. In Bible studies this person regularly seeks
something to obey in the word of God. Understands
what he is reading and seeks to do what it says.
Obedient to what his disciple tells him and teaches other
disciples to obey as well.

Proclaims Christ
A person who not only sees how he has been
entrusted with God’s message, but also speaks
about Christ from the overflow of his heart, and
therefore looks for numerous occasions to talk
about Him. -2 Cor. 5:17-21
Goals For The Year
• 5 gospel presentations throughout the year.
• Youth led Bible Study or DBS by EOY.
• Each One. Reach One.
• Participate in 2 outreaches per year.
• 10-30min. of prayer, journaling, and Scripture
reading each day.

Measured by: Identifies Christ as the God in whom
he puts his trust in when around friends or even
strangers. Talks about Jesus with his friends.
Understands the message of reconciliation to Christ
and prioritizes sharing that truth with others.
Places Christ at the center of everything he says and
does.
• Pray with at least 1 adult and 1 other youth
each week.
• Serve on Sunday morning once a month.
• Serve on Wednesday night once a month.
• Have at least 1 mentor who meets with you at
least once a month.
