Prefabrication of bottom plates, roof plates and shell plates will be done in site. 55t mobile crane and
25t mobile crane will be used for the lifting works of the tank.
The purpose of this Method Statement is to describe lifting process and method using the crane and
lifting clamp the location of the crane when working safety controls.
Weight of steel plates to be calculated on the basis of the sizes of the existing.

NOTE:- Total lifting lode = Net Weight + Weight of rigging accessories + Weight of hook block and dynamic rope.
-Rate of capacity load of crane = Total lifting lode÷Chart capacity in working max radius×100%.
Method of lifting bottom plates, roof plates and shell plates is “Single Crane Hoisting Method”, construction
flow chart as follow:

For irregular shaped steel plate, will be lift using 2 or 3 lifting points according to the location of center of
gravity.

Crane
Staff involved in lifting must be certificate, ensure that crane operators are qualified based on the
requirements set by local regulatory authorities.
Each mobile crane must be inspected by a competent person for mechanical defects upon its arrival, once
again before its use on the site, and monthly thereafter.
All lifting tackle must be certified.
The lift supervisor shall inspect all tackle prior to use.
Any damaged tackle item shall be marked ‘NOT FOR USE’ and returned to depot for disposal.
Nylon slings must be protected from sharp corners using suitable packing.
The safe working load (SWL) must be prominently displayed on the boom of anycrane and clearly marked
on other lifting devices.
Considering the total load to be lifted (including applicable crane component weights) and crane
configuration, the lift must not exceed 85 percent of the crane capacity for the greatest radius the load
achieves during pick, swing, or set. If the load exceeds 85%.the lift will be classified as a critical lift.
If changing the crane configuration within the manufacturer specifications provides greater gross capacity,
the modified configuration must be used to keep the lift below 85 percent capacity. If not, a larger capacity
crane must be used.
A lift is classified as critical, critical lifts must have a formal Critical Lift Plan/Rigging study before being
executed.
PROBABILITY
E. VERY LIKELY TO OCCUR NO CONTROLS IN PLACE
D. LIKELY TO OCCUR ONLY ONE PROCEDURAL CONTROL IS IN PLACE
C. COULD OCCUR MULTIPLE CONTROLS ARE IN PLACE BUT INCLUDE ONLY PROCEDURAL BARRIERS.
B. UNLIKELY TO OCCUR MULTIPLE CONTROLS ARE IN PLACE WHICH INCLUDE PROCEDURAL AND ACTIVE BARRIERS.
A. VERY UNLIKELY TO OCCUR MULTIPLE CONTROLS ARE IN PLACE WHICH INCLUDE AT LEAST ONE PASSIVE BARRIER, ACTIVE BARRIERS AND PROCEDURAL BARRIERS.
