 Controlling all branch expenses in line with the budget and in consultation with other
departmental heads to approve any exceptions.
 Preparation and maintenance of the branch’s chart of accounts.
 Proper financial planning for the branch.
 Implementation of a sound system of stock management, and managing the stocks take
procedures.
 Coordination of the procurement process.
 Maintaining a proper system of petty cash.
 Responsible for the treasury function at the branch.
 Monitoring the branch’s health state by ensuring financial adequacy. This included
ensuring that the rest of the working capital components are strictly controlled.
 Forecasting cash usage for the branch on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
 Evaluation and approval of payment vouchers for completeness when making payments.
 Overall administration of the branch.
 Human Resources function, i.e. Recruitment, counseling, Disciplinary Action and
compliance with all labor act provisions.
 Performance appraisals for subordinate staff.
 Maintenance of asset register for the branch and depreciation.
