DTM-CFG Quick Start Guide

System Wiring

Connect DTM and the computer. Refer to System Wiring Diagram for Configuration.

Load USB-RS485 or USB-RS232 Converter Driver

1. Put the DTM-CFG installation CD into the DVD-ROM.

2. Connect USB-RS485 or USB-RS232 Converter to a spare USB port on your computer.

3. Select “Install the software automatically (Recommended)” and then click Next button.

4. The wizard will automatically install the converter driver.

5. After the USB-RS converter driver was installed, the computer will begin to install COM port. And the

installation process is the same as the installation of USB-RS converter driver.

Install DTM-CFG Software

From the root folder of DVD-ROM, open “DTMCFG-Setup” folder and double click Setup.exe to install

DTM-CFG software on the computer.

Connect DTM Device and DTM-CFG Software

1. Make sure that the DTM-CFG only connects one DTM.

2. Run DTM-CFG software, and then type the right ID of the connected DTM. Refer to Start DTM-CFG

Standard chapter of User Manual for details.

3. On main window of standard edition, click STEP1 Get connected button. If the connection failed, go to

step4.

4. Mark “Check communication cable connection” and “Check power supply with correct voltage”, and then

click Try again button. If the connection failed, go to step5.

5. Click First diagnosis (Two minutes) button. If the connection failed click Second diagnosis (Twenty

minutes) button. If failed yet, click Third diagnosis (Two hours) button.

Save the Original Configuration Settings

Click STEP2 Configuration button on main window of standard edition. On configuration window, click

Upload (From DTM) button to upload the default configuration information from DTM device. And then click

Save as button to save the default configuration information to a file.

Configure DTM Parameters

Set the configuration parameters and then click Download (To DTM) And Save button.

Default Configuration Password: 1234

Default Control Password: Blank
