American Valhalla tells the story of an extraordinary musical collaboration between two mavericks of American rock: Iggy
Pop and Queens of the Stone Age front man, Joshua Homme. The result was one of the best albums of 2016 – Iggy’s “Post
Pop Depression”.

The film takes you on a journey from the conception of this musical partnership and the first demos recorded in Californian
desert by – what became – the Post Pop Depression band that included Dean Fertita (QOTSA) and drummer Matt Helders
(Artic Monkeys), and onto the release of the album, proceeded by a sold‐out American and European Tour that featured the
epic performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London. American Valhalla is a crown jewel of this once in a lifetime kind of
project. The film reveals just what it means to know that if you risk nothing, your gain nothing, no matter who you are.
Originally released in theaters, American Valhalla goes beyond a behind‐the‐scenes music documentary. Presented via
Neumann’s stunning photography and cinematography, with intimate conversations led by Anthony Bourdain, the film
explores themes of taking chances, instincts, and legacy. As Homme stated, “You risk nothing, you gain nothing” – a mantra
echoed throughout the film’s 81 minutes.
“As we got to know each other, you blew my mind” Homme tells Pop in the film. “You really came with such an open mind
and saying ‘Yeah, I know what I’ve done but I’m here to…look forward’”

British singer/songwriter Calum Scott came to fame on the 2015 season of Britain's Got Talent, but it was not his first
attempt to break into the business. Born and brought up in the city of Hull in the northeast of England, Scott was originally a
drummer before being encouraged to sing by his sister Jade, herself a talented vocalist, who recognized his ability. In 2013
she sneakily entered him into the Star Search competition run by local paper The Hull Daily Mail, which he won. He then
joined a local Maroon 5 tribute band called Maroon 4, before forming the dance‐pop duo the Experiment with John
McIntyre, another local lad; they released a single, "Girl (You're Beautiful)," in 2014.

The following year, both Calum and his sister auditioned for Britain's Got Talent, but Jade was eliminated at the audition
stage. Calum auditioned with a stripped‐down, piano‐led cover of Robyn's "Dancing on My Own," impressing judge Simon
Cowell so much that he pressed the "golden buzzer" to send Scott straight through to the semifinals; Cowell told Scott that
he was the most talented man he had ever seen on the show. With his high, powerful, slightly nasal tenor and boy‐next‐door
good looks, Scott became a fan favorite and swiftly progressed through the show, but was eliminated in the final after a
faltering performance that he later put down to nerves.

Despite failing to win, he had developed enough of a following to be able to quit his job as a recruitment consultant at Hull
City Council and forge a career as a live act. In March 2016, he released his version of "Dancing on My Own" as his debut solo
single. It was used in an episode of popular TV drama The Vampire Diaries, and went on to sell over 600,000 copies. Later
that May he announced that he had inked a deal with Capitol Records, and in 2018 released his debut album, Only Human. ~

Faits :
Après un premier album couronné de succès qui en a fait les figures de proue de la nouvelle chanson française, Feu! Chatterton revient
pour nous livrer son tout nouvel album, L’oiseleur, ode au temps béni de l’amour perdu.
On avait quitté l’élégant quintet au petit matin, exalté et tremblant d’avoir traversé la nuit électrique. On le retrouve sous l’arbre fruitier,
dans la voluptueuse lumière de l’après‐midi, célébrant les formes et les couleurs de la Nature charnelle. Pour ce deuxième album. Les
Parisiens prendront leur temps, laissant l’inspiration revenir peu à peu. Et les thématiques de ce second opus finiront par s’imposer
d’elles‐mêmes, miroir de leur propre vie sur la route : l’éloignement, la distance, la rupture amoureuse…
C’est lors d’un voyage en terres italiennes et ibériques que les premiers textes de L’oiseleur prendront forme et cette nouvelle œuvre se
transformera alors en road trip lancé à toute allure, une collection de vignettes où s’entrechoquent réalisme contemporain et onirisme
suranné (Grace, L’oiseau, Souvenir, Sari d’Orcino), clins d’œil au cinéma pulp (Ginger), poésie surréaliste (Zone Libre et Le départ),
guitares new wave (Anna, La fenêtre) et scansion rap (L’ivresse). Mais c’est aussi un voyage initiatique, aux ramifications profondes.

d’accompagnement colorée et positive. C’est un premier extrait représentatif d’une belle audace qui traverse l’ensemble d’Avant de
crever, et qui n’est pas sans rappeler la fougue et l’enthousiasme de Xavier Caféïne, Thomas Fersen ou même un jeune Jean Leloup.

British singer/songwriter Calum Scott came to fame on the 2015 season of Britain's Got Talent, but it was not his first
attempt to break into the business. Born and brought up in the city of Hull in the northeast of England, Scott was originally a
drummer before being encouraged to sing by his sister Jade, herself a talented vocalist, who recognized his ability. In 2013
she sneakily entered him into the Star Search competition run by local paper The Hull Daily Mail, which he won. He then
joined a local Maroon 5 tribute band called Maroon 4, before forming the dance‐pop duo the Experiment with John
McIntyre, another local lad; they released a single, "Girl (You're Beautiful)," in 2014.

The following year, both Calum and his sister auditioned for Britain's Got Talent, but Jade was eliminated at the audition
stage. Calum auditioned with a stripped‐down, piano‐led cover of Robyn's "Dancing on My Own," impressing judge Simon
Cowell so much that he pressed the "golden buzzer" to send Scott straight through to the semifinals; Cowell told Scott that
he was the most talented man he had ever seen on the show. With his high, powerful, slightly nasal tenor and boy‐next‐door
good looks, Scott became a fan favorite and swiftly progressed through the show, but was eliminated in the final after a
faltering performance that he later put down to nerves.

Despite failing to win, he had developed enough of a following to be able to quit his job as a recruitment consultant at Hull
City Council and forge a career as a live act. In March 2016, he released his version of "Dancing on My Own" as his debut solo
single. It was used in an episode of popular TV drama The Vampire Diaries, and went on to sell over 600,000 copies. Later
that May he announced that he had inked a deal with Capitol Records, and in 2018 released his debut album, Only Human. ~

 Live recordings from Austrian Radio broadcasts (ORF) released for the very first time by one of the greatest musicians of all time
 The Schumann Piano Concerto requires virtually everything a pianist should have to offer: poetry, virtuosity, poised restraint – Brendel
passes the test on all accounts with his passionate, insightful and refreshing interpretation
 On this Schumann Piano Concerto performance, taken from Brendel’s 70th Birthday residency in 2001, with the inestimable partners in
Sir Simon Rattle and the Wiener Philharmoniker, Alfred Brendel writes that “listening to this live recording I felt that, for once, I heard what I
wanted.
 A work with a wealth of different characters, colour and masterful disposition. The Fugue in particular is something to marvel at with its
contrapuntal and pianistic power. Even Wagner had to concede that the result was impressive, “One sees what can still be done with the old
forms when someone comes along who knows how to handle them”
 Brendel has never recorded the Brahms “Handel” Variations in the studio which makes this his first commercially available recording of
the work
