Following our telephone exchange on January 22, 2018 regarding a statement | released on the University's ineffective response to the pain Larry Nassar inflicted to scores of athletes and student-athletes, | no longer have the desire or the heart to support this administration going forward. As both professor and priest, | am profoundly saddened by Michigan State University's public posture and seemingly callous regard for these giris and women, During my years of association with this University, | have served as a leader of undergraduate students and faculty members alike. My daughter and | are both alumnae. Michigan State University has played a central role in my life. It has been an honor to serve in many capacities. However, in the current circumstance, | can no longer be a bystander nor this University’s Faculty Athletic Representative. : | will surrender my Faculty Athletic Representative credentials with a hard copy of this letter to your office.
