FOUNDATIONS OF DESIGN THINKING AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

FDE is a course aimed at helping undergrad freshmen see problems as opportunities through the Design
thinking process. The solutions these students collectively come up with are then made sustainable
through and entrepreneurial approach. The ultimate result therefore translates into sustainable business
solutions that have community impact.

June 3rd 2016 in Ghana’s history represents a day of sorrow

and pain. The inner city circle became flooded due to a ton of

plastic waste choking the main drain system. This affected

one of the fueling stations nearby which exploded, killing

hundreds of citizens who could not swim to safety.

AIX-ASHESI INNOVATION EXPERIENCE

In a society that is built on rote memorisation as an indicator of academic excellence, students (including
myself) tend to accept the status quo, never question or even try to think outside of the box. This in the
long run leads to inefficiencies in Business, Education, Health and all other areas that affects our lives. AIX
tries to address this at the root, by giving high school students an opportunity to think about problems and
question the status quo as well as take ownership of their immediate surroundings problem

AVA- ASHESI VENTURE ACCELERATOR

Realising the need to help student businesses on campus, myself, together with fellow colleagues, formed
the AVA. Among other things provided Business Development Services, Industry Mentorship and Coaching,
Access to funding among others.

WHERE I SEE MYSELF IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS…

In 10 years I see myself championing innovation in different industries and
sectors around the globe, especially in Africa. This especially includes areas
such as Technology, Education and Entrepreneurship.
