Who we are
In our world today we are faced with appalling
statistics of child sexual abuse. “Darkness to Light”
reports that 1 in 10 children will be molested before
their 18th birthday, and around 400,000 babies
born in the US this year will become victims. We
believe there is a better way. We don’t need to hide
our heads in the sand and stand helplessly by
while children suffer abuse.

A Better Way exists as a nondenominational

Christian organization that equips trusted
adults in children’s lives with the tools to
recognize and respond to potential and actual
child sexual abuse.

Among other things, this includes teaching to

help prevent child sexual abuse by promoting best
safety practices in homes, churches and schools.
We serve as a point of connection to resources
that will assist in this important calling.

At A Better Way, we strongly believe that

knowledgeable and caring support is critical
in preventing or healing from childhood sexual
abuse. We actively seek to network with social
workers, counselors, law enforcement officers and
others who can assist those who reach out to A
Better Way for information and help.

Additionally, A Better Way is called to support the

professionals whose job it is to investigate any
suspected cases of sexual abuse.
