Charlotte Hall Bus Route

Calvert County Public Transportation announces a new central county bus route
serving the MD Route 231 corridor and northern St. Mary’s County.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 5, accessible, affordable bus service will reach these destinations:
• Calvert Pines Senior Center
• College of Southern Maryland Prince Frederick Campus
• Calvert County Industrial Park
• Calvert County Detention Center
• Charlotte Hall Veterans Home
• Charlotte Hall Food Lion
The new route allows connections in Charlotte Hall with public transportation for Charles
and St. Mary’s counties. Transfers will allow patrons of Calvert County’s North, South, Mid-County
and Dunkirk bus routes to travel throughout Southern Maryland and beyond.

All Calvert County public transportation routes operate through the use of designated reference points for
timing the route and the “flag system.” Riders must flag down the bus and can board anywhere along the
route where the driver deems it safe to pull over.
One-way fares Adults age 18 to 59: $1.50 Youth ages 7 to 17: 50 cents
Adults age 60 and over: 50 cents Disability, Medicare/Medicaid: 50 cents
Children age 6 and younger: free
