“Good morning, delegates. Welcome to the first conference
of
(insert committee name) of Jakarta MUN 2016. Before we start,
allow me to remind all delegates to remain seated and to put
your mobile devices on silent for the convenience of the
conference. Portable computers should not be activated during the
debates but you are allowed to utilize the portable computers in
unmoderated caucus. (NOTE : YOU MIGHT WANNA EASE THINGS A BIT
BY INTRODUCING THE BOARD OF DAIS AND PAGES)

Now, let’s begin the roll call.
Delegates whose country is being called, please raise your placard
and say ‘Present’ or ‘Present and Voting’. Delegates who are
‘Present’ may deliver the absent vote in substantive voting and
delegates who are ‘Present and Voting’ should cast the Yes/No
vote
in substantive voting.

[Rules]
Before we start, I am going to inform you of several rules regarding
the procedures.
- First, to pass a motion in moderated caucus or unmoderated caucus,
we are going to apply a voting session with a simple majority vote to
pass;
- Second, to close a debate session the committee will apply a quorum
with 2/3 majority from the total delegation who are present. In this
particular (GA) the quorum will be (how many);

- Third, the board of dais will set the maximum time for superceding
motion to be applied, (20) minutes for moderated caucus with (2)
seconds speaking time and (30) minutes for unmoderated caucus.
Delegates whose time motion exceeds the superceding motion
will be disregarded;

“Good morning/evening/night, delegates. Welcome to the
(second/third/etc) conference of JAKARTA MUN. Before we start,
there are some changes in the rules that should be adopted in the
following session.

2. AGENDA SETTING

“In this conference, the committee acknowledges two agendas that
are brought on the table; the topic area A is (Nuclear Power
For Humanity: Mitigating The Nuclear Impacts) and
the topic area B is (New And Renewable Energy :
Solution To Worlds Energy Problem).
First we need to have an agenda setting to determine which topic
area will be discussed 1st.
To set the debate, we are going to introduce at least two speakers
that are in favor with topic area A and two speakers that are against
topic area A.
The maximum time for the speakers’ list will be set to (1) minutes for
each speakers.We’ll be giving the time signal on the 45th
second by knocking the gavel once and and once again on the
60th second.
This session will be ended with substantive voting procedure.

First, we are going to open the speakers’ list. Delegates who are in
favor for the topic area A and wishes to speak, please raise your
placards.

Delegates who are against the topic area A and wishes to speak,

To begin the debate, we’re going to entertain one delegate to

[Two--Speakers’ List Against the Closure of The Debate]


Honorable delegates, the speakers’ list for the agenda setting
has expired. Now, before we’re closing the debate, we would
like to entertain two speakers who are against the closure of the
debate.

Distinguished Delegates, the board of DAIS strongly suggest you to
start merging the working papers into draft resolutions.
We’re going to wait until (deadline) for you to submit the soft copy
of your draft resolutions.
Please follow the formatted draft resolution that has been entailed
in your conference guidebook and fulfl the number of signatories in
order for your draft resolutions to be acknowledged.
