PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Operations Consultant, Meals on Wheels Inc. June 2017 – Present
 Established a 5S program in the warehouse and calculated storage capacity and current utilization of the warehouse.
 Performed SKU rationalization by lifecycle management analysis, and ABC classification of inventory with respect to product’s throughput
i.e. slow moving and fast moving goods for assisting inventory reduction and attain higher inventory performance.
 Monitored throughput/slot, and weekly movements of the materials in the warehouse and optimized the procurement plans to maximize
revenue while minimize stock outs, surplus inventory which also resulted in decrease of inventory tied-up cost by 7%.
 Reviewed inventory reports and established a master plan to meet objectives of stocking levels by placing additional purchase orders,
expediting shipments, or transferring inventory across different warehouse locations.
 Managed the production schedule and daily goals for assembly team to achieve daily stock fulfillment requirements.
 Responsible for creation of PFEP documentation which tracks the flow of all the products in the inventory including the weekly usage
(throughput), average ending inventory, purchase order quantity and re-order points.
 Tracked monthly inventory-turns for 50+ raw materials with their respective demand and purchasing lead times to calculate safety stock.
Demand Planning Intern, Knab Enterprise Inc. Feb 2017 – May 2017
 Analyzed 5+ years of historical shipments of over 30 SKU’s from QuickBooks Point of sales and established demand behavior categories
as a function of item’s volatility i.e. demand variability.
 Researched sales trends, demand drivers, market conditions and forecasted critical SKUs with statistical forecast models at multiple levels
of aggregation with MAPE - error of 8% (forecast accuracy) to ensure product availability.
 Deployed distinct forecasting strategy for several SKUs in order to accommodate the variance in demand due to seasonal changes.
 Calculated the EOQ (Economic order quantity) and reorder points with service level model and the critical ratio model within established
tolerances in order to develop replenishment strategy to achieve target inventory level and planned inventory turns.
 Established monthly forecasts consensus process with a cross functional team resulting in short and long term operational demand plan.
 Validated the purchase models by performing sensitivity analysis comparing different order quantities and re-order points.
 Utilized forecast analysis to recommend process improvements in an effort to optimize the key performance metrics such as Inventory
turnover ratio, Average Inventory, Holding costs, Service level and Inventory accuracy.
Process Improvement Consultant, FSA SUNY – UB -------------------------------------Aug 2016 – Dec 2016
 Analyzed work allocation, facility layout, and operational data, such as process times, flow charts, and production schedule to determine
efficient utilization of workers and equipments to ensure on time product delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.
 Incorporated DMAIC principles involving six sigma tools such as capability analysis, Analysis of variance (ANOVA), Parato charts
to identify the sources of variation and resolved issues to achieve 21% increase in overall productivity by reducing the cycle time.
 Standardized work for the employees by process planning and implemented one-piece flow operation in the assembly line.
 Developed training plan which addressed labor performance issues by documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and
HACCP manual and thereby enabling the employees to meet quality and production requirements.
Intern, Supplier Quality Engineering, Simpsons and Co. Ltd. June 2015
 Conducted effective analysis of failures such as excess blow, flywheel housing crack, and Oil pressure drop in vertical in-line diesel
engines to determine root cause and implemented mistake-proofing (corrective actions) best suited for improvements.
 Calculated key performance metrics (KPI’s) such as defects per unit and rolled throughput yield in monthly basis for the year 2014.
 Conducted Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process to achieve production part approval (PPAP) for designated suppliers.
 Evaluated the risk and reliability of the process using Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) to enhance performance and quality.
