METHODOLOGY
This chapter aims to explain properly the process and procedures used to
construct the Online Information System of SLSU Institutional and Externally Funded
Researches. This will contain the research locale of the study, research design, source of
data, data gathering, respondents of the study, flowchart, and statistical treatment.
Research Locale
The study was conducted in Southern Luzon State University in Lucban Quezon
with the information of researches that has been published. It will focus on study for the

Institutional and Externally Funded Researches. This will provide an information system
for the published researches an organized storing and keeping of data and transfering
these to the internet for the users to access. Gathered data is presented by each categories

Research Instrument
System of SLSU Institutional and Externally Funded Researches, researches prioritize the
idea of efficiency, a well organized information system for the users and for the
administrator. To acquire the acceptability of the system, evaluators will test the system
Graphical User Interface (GUI) will be based if the system’s overall design is pleaasing
and user friendly at the same time. Efficiency will pertain on usage of this system,
recognizing the time and effort efficiency. The usability which is aiming the usability of
the system to be use and achieve its main purpose to serve as an online information
system. Compatibility is the idea of being suitable to any hardware and platforms without
reaching high requirements for its conveniency. The function suitability is meeting the
desired function of the system for the user and the administrator. Maintainability is the
assurance of the system to be operated succesfully for a long timespan and having ease at
maintaining whenever a failure occurs. Last is the Reliability which defines whether the
Evaluators will rate these phases at (4) highest score and (1) which is the lowest
rating. The computed total mean will guarantee if it meets the acceptability of the system

Respondents
The respondents of this study was categorized into three groups. The first group
known as the MIS Employee, the second group consisted of SLSU Students, the third

Statistical Treatment
Getting the weighted mean is the process used by the researchers as a statistical
treatment of the study. The weighted mean will stands for the performance and

finish. The expansion of time is from planning to creating, and design the system until the
system goes under evaluation and testing from the users. The duration of each phases
depend on the complexity and time needed to accomplish each objectives. It shows that
the least amount of time is allotted on planning and the rest has more allotment as they
needed.
