AIDS
AIDS (Acquired immune deficiency syndrome) is one of the most killing diseases in the
world that has no cure yet. It is a syndrome which attacks the immune system of human, so that
the sufferer will be attacked easily by other dangerous illnesses. This disorder is caused by a
AIDS is a kind of contagious virus and it can be transmitted through many ways. The one
conductor substance that makes this epidemic spreads is the liquid that comes from AIDS’s
sufferer. The most common ways of its spreading process from one to another are through sexual
interaction, blood transfusion, and contaminated hypodermic needle. The fluid (blood, vaginal
fluid, and sperm) that is transferred from the positive one through such ways will cause the
receiver suffer from AIDS as well. Moreover, an unborn child of a positive AIDS mother or a
baby who is breastfed by someone who suffers from AIDS will also be affected by AIDS.
The statistic data of AIDS sufferers/victims shows the change every year. Based on the
report stated by UNAIDS and WHO (World Health Organization) in 2009, it was estimated that
there were 33.4 million people in the world who were suffering from AIDS included adult and
children with the rate of death was 2 million each year due to AIDS. This rate was higher than
two years before (2007) that was 33.2 million AIDS cases. At the end of 2010, AIDS sufferers
all around the world raised to be 34 million with 1.8 million death rates at that year. Eventhough
the victims’ index showed ascension, the death rate decreased until 10 %. This result showed
that there has been positive advance in health services in handling people who live with AIDS.
WHO and UNAIDS are the example of organizations that pay much attention toward the
epidemic. They have been affording to introduce various ways how to prevent AIDS spreads. For
