3. Students will have an increased knowledge of the multiple types of extracurricular opportunities avaiable in high school.
Materials: Pre/Post Tests, Activity Sheet “Exploring High School Extracurricular Activities”, Computers, Pencils,
Procedure: See Attached “Exploring High School Extracurricular Activities” Lesson Plan Procedure
Process Data: 13 8th grade students will participate in a 45 minute lesson, two times in the academic year
80% of 8th grade students will be able to identify three individual extracurricular clubs in three
Perception Data:
different extracurricular activity categories (Academic Related Clubs, Cultural Related Clubs, Special Interest Clubs).
Follow-Up: In 2 weeks, the school counselor will meet with the students who did not meet the goal of the lesson,
or any student who expressed that they did not see the value in extracurricular activities, or any student who may have additional
questions concerning extracurricular activities either at St. Norbert School or at a local high school.
