Materials: Open Classroom (Preferably the Gym), Computer, “Breathing Exercises Cards”, Pre/Post Tests, Writing Utensils
“Anxiety & Breathing Techniques” PowerPoint, Projector

Procedure: See Attached: “Introduction to Breathing Techniques Procedure”

Plan for Evaluation: How will each of the following be collected?

Process Data: 14 4th grade students will participate in a 60 min lesson, 2 times in the academic year

Perception Data: 70% of 4th grade students will be able to identify 3 types of breathing exercises

Outcome Data:
4th grade Reading, Math, and Writing grades will increase by 1%.

In 2 weeks, the school counselor will meet individually with students who did not meet the goal of the
Follow-Up:
lesson, or any student who expressed that they had additional questions in the reflection section of the post-test.
