Audition Information for 2018-2019 School Year

Tips for Practicing!


When Practicing:
Use a metronome! 
Practice your weakest scales until they become your favorite and best!
Strive for your best intonation, tone and technique at all times.
Play for people often. Practice playing the excerpts together in groups.
Don’t practice mistakes! Slow before fast, long before short.
Record and listen to yourself.

When Performing:
Be confident in your preparation and show off your best posture, technique, musicianship, and sound.
