Responsibilities:
Profitable growth and retention of a $38M book of Commercial business, ranging in account
size from under $500 to over $100,000.
Hiring, developing, and promoting up to 14 underwriters and underwriting assistants, including
remote employees.
Cultivating and supporting 30+ agency relationships for mutually successful outcomes.
Champion for major corporate initiatives, such as the roll out of Lean, the integration of the
Workers Compensation and Property/Auto/Liability segments, and the pilot of the
Small/Middle Market segmentation. This involved dynamic restructuring of teams on-the-fly
and extensive change management.
Completing underwriting audits.
Managing underwriting assistant service levels.
Lean activities such as daily huddles, process walks, and leading formal problem-solving
teams.
Responsibilities:
Leading three Marketing Underwriters handling $25M in written premium to achieve
profitability, production, and agency relationship goals.
Underwriting and relationship management with two high profile agencies totaling $9M in
written premium.
Working closely with two other Underwriting Managers to create and execute Florida office
business plans.
Training, mentoring, and developing newly-hired Marketing Underwriters.

Responsibilities:
Partnering with an exclusive Claims and Loss Control service team to profitably manage $14M
in annual premium, with account sizes from $10,000 to $1,000,000.
Partnering with corporate staff to develop and market programs for large WC/GL/Auto
accounts, including Paid/Incurred Loss Retros and Large Deductibles.
Property Lead Line Coordinator - handling underwriter referrals within office authority,
managing referrals to Home Office when outside of office authority, and managing Florida
property capacity.
Prospecting and contracting new agencies including due diligence activities. Terminating non-
performing agencies.
Interfacing directly with agency owners on production, retention, loss ratio, and relationship
goals.
Consulting with producers to review production goals, target opportunities, and introduce new
products and services.
Partnering with corporate staff to tailor coverages, rates, and dividend programs for groups.
Developing and teaching continuing education courses for group members.
Directly engaging with group board members for business planning purposes.
Supervising three Agency Service Representatives who supported Marketing Underwriters.
Training Developmental Marketing Underwriters in systems, underwriting philosophy, and
company culture.
