The success of any club thrives upon the participation of members.

I believe in making toastmasters

an ongoing success and hence getting new members is an important task. By being the VP
Membership I look forward to expanding the club as much as possible not only by attracting new
members but also retaining the old ones by helping them continuously improve and also getting
them recognised. By initiating contact with guests, helping them feel welcome and providing them
with the information they need to join, I will help maintain a constant influx of new people into our
club. I will also attentively monitor membership levels and strategize with the rest of the executive
committee about how to overcome membership challenges when they occur. The success of our
club is my sole goal and by being the VP membership I am taking the first step towards achieving it.

listening is a top quality for VP Membership to have. It makes fellow club members feel comfortable
to approach and confide in you about things they like or dislike about the club. It also makes
everyone feel like their ideas are heard, which is why members will want to share more ideas about
activities and projects the club can partake in. Being able to listen and ask questions to find out more
about the wants of our club members will increase trust in club members and in turn help our club
flourish and grow.
A lot of times members leave the club because they don't feel appreciated, become de-motivated or
aren't given the opportunity to participate in projects in the way they had hoped. I personally
recognize the power of recognition and try to always boost confidence in others by celebrating club
accomplishments through the members. Acknowledging the work of others and celebrating it
together with the club is a simple and easy way to boost member confidence.
Also I am open to feedback and ask for help showing that I respect that individual's expertise and
judgement. It makes the person on the other end feel more important and part of a team. It brings
forth a sense of unity and as such you show your club members that their ideas, suggestions and
ability to share their feedback on whatever the topic at hand may be, matters and will be heard.

Connecting dreams foundation is a social entrepreneurship organisation was brought as a college

chapter to my college SSCBS by me and my friend. The college is famous in Delhi University for the
large number of societies it has and starting a new society and getting large number of students to
enrol as members was a huge task. I and my friend organised various events, setup various stalls
selling items made by villagers, ran social media campaigns to promote and tell students CDF exists
in the college and what it does. We got Mr. Amit Tuteja, founder of CDF to speak for the orientation
and got huge number of applications for membership. This experience surely prepares me for the
role of VP Membership and do justice to it.

The president of the club is the one who the members look upon. As the club’s president, I will be
planning, organizing, and carrying out responsibilities associated with my role as the club’s chief
executive officer. Most members will help me succeed if the tasks and expectations are clearly
defined, reasonable, and the members share appropriate interest and skill. Planning and preparation
count, and enthusiasm will be my secret weapons. As president, it’s my responsibility to provide
leadership for the club whenever it’s required. This includes creating a nurturing learning
environment and enhancing club quality by conducting well-run, energetic, interesting meetings;
actively seeking and connecting with club members and officers; listening patiently and offering
assistance; and resolving conflicts as they arise. I as the president will make sure that I complete all
my duties with utmost sincerity and take our club to greater heights.
Connecting dreams foundation is a social entrepreneurship organisation was brought as a college
chapter to my college SSCBS by me and my friend. I was the Vice President of my college chapter. As
the Vice President my duties were:
• Conduct and preside over a regular Key Club meeting.
• Create and abide by an agenda for your weekly meeting.
• Keep officers on task and provide assistance for committees to run smoothly.
• Lead the entire membership in a well-rounded program of activities and projects.
• Ensure that delinquent members are handled properly.
• Meet with your faculty advisor to discuss agenda points and current club issues.
and many more.
I believe with my prior experience with all these duties prepares me for the role of President and do
justice to it.
