Sub: Declaration of Hol idays for the year 2018 - Reg.

The following National/Festival holidays will be observed in ECIL, Hyderabad including

Units/Branches in Telangana and A.P. during the calendar year 2018:

1. Sankranti/Pongal 15.01.2018 (Monday)

2. Republic Day 26.01.2018 (Friday)
3. International Labour Day/May Day 01.05.2018 (Tuesday)
4. Ramzan (Id-ul-fitr) 16.06.2018 (Saturday)
5. Independence Day 15.08.2018 (Wednesday)
6. Bakrid (Idul-azha) 22.08.2018 (Wednesday)
7. Varalakshmi Vratham 24.08.2018 (Friday)
8. Vinayaka Chavithi 13.09.2018 (Thursday)
9. Mahatma Gandhi Jayanthi 02.10.2018 (Tuesday)
10. Dusshera/Vijaya Dasami 18.10.2018 (Thursday)
11. Deepavali 07.11.2018 (Wednesday)
12. Christmas 25.12.2018 (Tuesday)

1.2 If Govt. of Telangana changes the date of holiday for l'v1uslim festivals (Ramzan &
Bakrid) as per the moon sight, the same wil l be applicable to ECIL also, without waiting
further notification/Circular from ECIL about the change of date.

02. The following National/Festival holidays will be observed in all other Zonal/Branch
Offices of ECIL du ring the year 2018:

1. Republic Day 26.01.2018 (Friday)

2. International Labour Day/May Day · 01.05.2018 (Tuesday)
3. Ramzan (Id-ul-fitr) 16.06.2018 (Saturday)
4. Independence Day 15.08.2018 (Wednesday)
5. Mahatma Gandhi Jayanthi 02.10.2018 (Tuesday)
6. Dusshera/Vijaya Dasami 18.10.2018 (Thursday)
7. Deepavali 07.11.2018 (Wednesday)
8. Christmas 25.12.2018 (Tuesday)

03. In addition to the above 8 Holidays declared for Zonal/Branch Offices, another 4
holidays may be declared by the respective Zones/Branches, keeping in view of the
regional importance of the particular festival, including Optional Holiday(s). In all, the
total National/Festival/Optional Holidays should not exceed TWELVE.
