– especially when it comes to fitness.

eight months of lackadaisical workouts and struggling
with repetition. I hated being in the gym, I hated the way I

12 hours a day at my desk working to build a new internet
marketing company. I felt incredibly mediocre everywhere

In the worst way I just wanted to take one of those little five

eating me up inside. Then, I had an epiphany. One day in
April 2013, I realized I literally had zero motivation to lift,
and I tweeted the following:

That was the moment I decided to change. I’d been a


superstar before, I knew what it took, and I knew I could set
myself apart again. I had to find motivation though. A flurry
of thoughts ran through my head right then. “Should I go
back to wrestling?”, “Should I go train for MMA?”, “Should I
go audition for a movie?”

Surprisingly, even to me, the answer was none of the above.


I found my motivation that very same night when I came
home and my wife and I put my 16-month old daughter
to sleep in her crib. Watching her sleep and seeing my
wife with loving eyes looking over her, I knew that they
both needed a hero. Not one that was on TV and was the

Final Training Notes
The workout programs contained in the Genesis dashboard
are grouped into four week sections. Depending on where
you want to begin, you can pick any one of the programs
to start with. For example, I have the workout program laid
out starting with strength training, then mass training, and
then endurance training. If you’re a novice and you want
to start with endurance training, that’s absolutely fine. You
can perform these programs in any order you like, so long
as you do four weeks of that program and then move on
to one of the other two. Just note that the days and weeks
can't be adjusted in the dashboard if you decide to start out
of order. You will have to make a mental note that you are,
for example, starting on week four in the dashboard and
check the workouts accordingly.
