GORDON RAMSAY HELL'S KITCHEN RESTAURANT

CONSTRUCTION FACT SHEET

PROJECT SUMMARY

The world's first Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen restaurant, located at 3570 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
in Las Vegas, has opened its doors for business and held its grand opening on January 26,
2018.

As fans of the show have been calling for a Hell's Kitchen restaurant for years, the eagerly-
awaited restaurant is reported to have secured 12,000 reservations in ten days. The eatery can
host up to 300 guests, who are able to enjoy views of the Las Vegas Strip from its premier
location in front of Caesars Palace through floor-to-ceiling windows.

One of the main goals of the restaurant is to immerse diners by providing an environment that
makes them feel like they are a part of the show that they know and love. With a red and blue
team-themed kitchen that is visible to guests and a flaming pitchfork at the entrance, no detail
was overlooked in building out this experience-driven eatery. Essential to the implementation of
the unique design was Forté Specialty Contractors.

FORTE PROJECT SCOPE

Forté Specialty Contractors, a Las Vegas-based firm specializing in design-build and

experiential design, served as the general contractor on the Hell's Kitchen project in
collaboration with Carpenter Sellers Del Gatto Architects and interior designer, Jeffrey Beers

International. The project comprised a complete demolition of what was previously the
Serendipity 3 restaurant and buildout of the new Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen.

Forté's scope of work included selectively demolishing the exterior to install a completely new
façade, installing new parapet walls, landscaping and flame signage, demolishing all interior
walls and reconfiguring the floor plan and installing a new bar, display kitchen and all high-end
finishes inside the restaurant.

"Working on the Hell's Kitchen project has been such a pleasure and an exciting challenge,"
said Scott Acton, CEO and founder of Forté. "When you're dealing with such an iconic brand,
you have to make sure that every last detail is taken into account to ensure a seamless
experience. From the flaming pitchfork at the entry to the red and blue team-themed kitchens,
visible to patrons, people expect the Hell's Kitchen they see on TV and we do not want to
disappoint."

This isn't the first time Forté has been tapped to deliver a unique experience for Gordon
Ramsay. Previously, Forté collaborated as the general contractor with the world-famous chef on
another of his Las Vegas restaurants, Gordon Ramsay Burgr, located at 3667 S. Las Vegas
Blvd at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

PROJECT CHALLENGES

Quick Turnaround
Forté is no stranger to working on tight schedules. With a hard deadline of December 20, 2017,
a timeline extension was never an option and Forté had only four months from start to finish. As
a result of Forté's design-build capabilities which includes in-house experts from various fields,
they were able to manage all aspects of the project and turn it around on time. Forté was tasked

to work with the owner to value-engineer and ensure the project stayed within the timeline while
still fulfilling the designer's original vision.

Creating a Unique Experience through Strong Brand Integration

As Hell's Kitchen is an established and world-famous brand, the design team, including Forté,
wanted to ensure all elements of the restaurant worked together to create a seamless extension
of that brand. As the TV series revolves around competing red and blue teams, the kitchen was
designed to mirror that element of the show, and diners are able to see their meals being
prepared, just as every part of the cooking process is shown in the series.

An obvious must-have for the restaurant was fire, with it being a central and reoccurring theme
in the Hell's Kitchen TV series. This was one particular challenge Forté worked to preserve in
the build out of the kitchen. Forté sourced alternative materials for the flame mosaic tile feature
wall in order to provide the greatest aesthetic impact and fit within the budget.

teams that compete against each other in the world-famous TV series.

Increasing ROI through Value Engineering

Although the budget required a possible reduction in decorative screens, featuring the Hell’s
Kitchen pitchfork logo, it was important for the brand to ensure the buildout did not change the
iconic essence of these key elements so widely recognized from the show. As a result of Forte’s
value engineering process, they were able to not only reduce the cost of fabrication, but also
build additional screens at no extra cost.
