Respeto a la Autonomía
RESUMEN
El respeto por la autonomía es la base de todos los principios éticos, primero debemos reconocer
que todo ser humano por el simple hecho de haber nacido tiene derecho a elegir qué decisiones
seguir, no obstante la autonomía no es universal y en ocasiones debe ceder la razón a otros
principios no menos importantes, en el caso de la medicina, la autoridad que tiene el medico en
muchas ocasiones debe interponerse en la voluntad de paciente cuando por ejemplo este toma una
decisión que afecta la integridad de los demás y la propia.
La competitividad es la base que sostiene el principio de autonomía, puesto que una persona no
competente no puede ser capaz de tomar una decisión que realmente lo favorezca, el principal
problema que allí encontramos es que en la actualidad no se puede trazar una línea entre las
personas competentes y las no competentes, además la competencia suele ser intermitente, es por
eso que el médico debe estar muy atento ante las señales que dan sus pacientes cuando no están en
un estado competitivo suficiente.
ABSTRACT
Respect for autonomy is the basis of all ethical principles, we must first recognize that every human
being by the mere fact of being born has the right to choose that you path follow, autonomy is not
universal, though and sometimes you must give reason to other no less important principles, in the
case of medicine, the authority that has the doctor in many occasions must stand in the will of the
patient when for example East It makes a decision that affects the integrity of others and their own.
Competitiveness is the base that holds the principle of autonomy, since a non-competent person is
not able to take a decision that actually supports it, the main problem that we find there is that
nowadays not be can draw a line between people who are competent and the not competent, besides
the competition tends to be intermittent, is why the doctor should be very attentive to signals giving
their patients when they are not in one sufficient competitive State.
