Who we are:
We, Rifa’a (literary means “rise”) are a
non-governmental organization
recently established in Dhamar City in
the middle highlands ,100 kilometers ,
southwards to Sana’a , the capital. The
organization emerged in a critical and
unstable conditions that necessitate
playing of greater roles by NGOs as
partakers in national endeavors
targeting both local and nationwide
scopes. This perspective needs creation
of diverse programs and actions
oriented towards sustainable and
comprehensive development in its
social, economic, cultural ,hygienic,
educational, righteous , and
humanitarian directions.
The organization has been initiated by
a group of academician and
connoisseurs having had experiences in
NGOs’ activities and responsibilities as
consultants, leaders , and members.
The organization is fully authorized by
license issued by the Ministry of Social
Affairs and Labor, Number 327 on
February 18, 2018. Accordingly it
maintains a constitution, council of
trustees , and executive committee. The
coverpage of this leaflet shows its
emblem , address , and image of its
building.
Our Motto :
“Worthy work is indeed beneficial, and
can raise standards of people’s living
conditions.”

1. Developmentally, sharing
comprehensive development actions
with regard to education, social
affairs, culture , health, housing,
work, and safeguard of
environment. .2. Economically,
participating in growth of the
national economy and combating
poverty. 3.Culturally, caring and
developing creative qualities of
literature, drama, music, painting,
information technology, research ,
and acculturalization. 4. Politically,
Defending human rights, political
sharing, good governance, freedoms
,democracy, social peace, and
consolidation of national dialogue.
5. In terms of Humanitarian Aid,
helping in distribution of relief, for
displaced families and refugees 6.In
terms of association and
partnership , making good ties with
national and international
organizations to implement joint
programs. 7. In terms of human
develop-ment, organization of
diverse training sessions 8.In terms
of rights, defending human rights
with special focus on rights for
women, children, the handi-capped
and vulnerable. 9.In terms of
Women’s empowerment,
organizing special actions expected
to contribute in women’s rights, ,
socio-economic empowerment ,
family ,maternal-child health, and
gender equity

We target to contribute effectively and
remarkably in developmental actions
that help community and individuals by
means of services and promoting acts
that can upgrade of their living
conditions and competencies.
Our Vision:
Our beloved country Yemen is passing
through hard times which require
exceptional efforts to re-rise as a
peaceful nation where communities and
individuals have access to better life
and abilities to grow serenely. These
perspectives can be approached
through well-organized and continual
work conducted by diverse
organizations including NGOs which
must undertake the most vigorous part
of it. This work must also be well
planned, co-designed and implemented,
and can produce the required
outcomes.

and international agencies.

 Contract with donors who
allocate grants for Yemen
according to their criteria .

quarters of the organization

Our Current Programs:
Currently , We are running , and/or
have planned to run these programs :
1. The qualifying program of students
(candidates) to universities.
2. The joint program of developmental
planning shared by NGOs and the
Local Authority of Dhamar.
3. programs financed by the UN
agencies and others for relief, health,
and social care (Rifa’ org. is still an
applicant )
4. Rifa’s project for publishing
scientific research in collaboration
with national universities.
5. The directory program for students
seeking scholarships.
6. Program on field survey of
vulnerable and displaced families.
7. Rifa’s Project for Yemen’s Database.
