APPLICATION CHECKLIST
List of Documents for Hardcopy Submission after online application

EACH application set MUST consist of the following and MUST reach our office before the
application deadline(s) https://www.eng.nus.edu.sg/graduate-studies/graduate-education/coursework-
application/application-period/ :

Please tick for documents submitted:

 Completed Acknowledgement Slip (click here to download).

 Completed and signed Summary Form printed for your online application submitted before our online
application deadline (To obtain this Summary Form, at the online application website click on “Manage
Applications” at the menu, and then click on the “Application Number” of your online application for the
relevant programme.)

Supporting Documents required for ALL applicants (photocopied in A4 size and to be arranged in the
following order)

 Copy of Passport page bearing the passport number and other particulars (for non-Singaporeans)

 Copy Singapore NRIC or citizenship certificate (for Singaporeans)

 Copy of Entry permit (for Singapore Permanent Residents)

 Copy of Employment Pass / Work Permit (for International applicants working in Singapore)

 Copy of Documentary proof of change in name (if you had your name changed and your name on NRIC /
Passport is not identical to the name printed on your degree scroll / certificate and university transcript)

 Copy of Polytechnic results and certificate or its equivalent (if applicable)

 Copy of University Transcript* / Results Slips (from 1st year to final / Honours year, including explanatory
notes on grading system and overall CAP/CGPA/Average Mark obtained)

 Copy of Degree scroll / certificate (if you are a current student, state the expected date of completion of
degree)

 Copy of Scoresheet indicating a minimum TOEFL score of 85 (internet-based test) OR a minimum IELTS
(Academic) score of 6.0 (for International applicants with a 2 years validity as at the beginning of the
application period. (for those whose bachelor’s degree are from Universities where English is not the main
medium of instruction)

 2 Referee letters / recommendation letters

Note: All supporting documents submitted in a language other than English MUST be accompanied by an
officially translated and certified copy in the English language. Original copies of supporting documents
submitted by candidates will NOT be returned.

* The original / certified true copy of the transcript for candidates with qualifications other than those from
NUS would be requested at the point when the offer of admission is made. This must be sent DIRECTLY
from the issuing University to NUS, enclosed in an official SEALED envelope with its flap bearing the security
seal of the University and the signature of the Registrar or representative.

#The NUS Graduate Scholarship for ASEAN nationals (NUS GSA) offered by the National University of
Singapore is awarded to deserving MSc applicants for the August intakes; candidates must be a national from
any of the 10 ASEAN member countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar,
Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam). Singapore citizens and permanent residents are not
eligible to apply.

For each application set, please help us to arrange your documents in the following order (with all the
envelopes for supporting documents removed) as shown below diagrammatically. Please do NOT file or
bind your application set.

IMPORTANT:
You are required to submit an application set for EVERY MSc programme that you have applied online.

For example, if you have applied for THREE MSc programmes online, you are required to submit THREE
application sets in total. They can be sent together in one package.

Submission of Application Set(s)

Please send (either by hand or by post) the physical copy of the application set(s) by our deadline to:

If sent by post, the use of reputable courier service/registered mail is strongly encouraged. Your package must
reach our office during our office hours on the day of the closing date or earlier.

Please indicate the programme(s) applied, in order of preference, on the bottom left corner of your package.
If you are sending your application set(s) via courier service, please state this information in the Description
Section of your Consignment Note.
Note: We regret that request for change(s) to the application(s) submitted will NOT be entertained.

IMPORTANT:
Your application for the MSc programme(s) will ONLY be processed when you have completed the online
application by the online application stipulated deadline AND we receive the physical copy of the
application set(s) by the physical set deadline. Request for extension of deadline will not be considered.

Therefore, you are strongly advised to plan your schedule ahead so that you can complete the whole
application process [i.e. apply online and submit the application set(s)] by the deadline].

Note: We regret that any online application WITHOUT the submission of physical application set will be
considered as INCOMPLETE and will NOT be processed. Application fee paid will not be refunded.
