Using ‘ some’:

Some is generally used in a positive ( affirmative) sentences.

Examples:
I asked her to lend me some money
I have got some money in my purse.
She needed some medicine yesterday but we didn’t find any open pharmacy last
night.
He will bring some friends to the party next week.

Exception To The Rule: ‘Some’ can also be used in questions if you are offering,
suggesting something to someone or asking, requesting for something by thinking that the
answer is yes or hopes for such an answer.

Some can be used anywhere in a sentence.

Examples:
Some of my friends can speak English well.

Some can be used with uncountable and plural countable nouns.

Any is used to mean ‘no’ or ‘zero’.
Any can be used with both countable and uncountable names.
When it is used with countable nouns, they are always plural.
When it is used with uncountable nouns, they always become singular.

Using ‘ any’:

Any is generally used in a negative sentences.

Examples:
I will not see him any more.
There isn’t any butter.
There aren’t any clothes in the wardrobe.
We don’t have any money.

Exception To The Rule : Any can only be used in positive sentences if it is used with
conjunctions such as If and weather.

Examples:
We’ll always help you if you have any problems or troubles.
I’m not sure if/weather the teacher give any homework.
If you have any problems, please call me.
I will take what you want if/weather you do any good things.

Any is used in questions.

Examples:
Are you allergic to any medicine?

Are there any childrens in the garden?
Is there any jam in the refrigerator?
Have you got any information about it?

Any can not be used at the beginning of a sentence.

Any can be used with uncountable and plural countable nouns.

Examples:
Did you notice any changes? ( countable)
Did you get any mail about your application? ( uncountable)
You can borrow any books of me. ( countable)
There isn’t any milk in the bottle. ( uncountable)
