MODIFICATION NUMBER STM80015A

1. PLANNING INFORMATION

A. Reason

Customer request to introduce a wireless In-Flight Entertainment (wIFE) system.

B. Description

Major modification STM80013A is the top level change covering the certification and
approval of a functioning wireless In-Flight Entertainment system on the Airbus Single
Aisle Family of Aircraft (A318/A319/A320/A321). Three minor modifications STM80015A,
STM80016A and STM80017A (see para.1.K.) detail the specific requirements for the
wIFE system structural, component and wiring installation as well as a minor modification
STM80014A which inhibits functionality for proof installation only.

STM80015A introduces the structural mounting provision to facilitate the installation of the
equipment for the above system.

The tasks are as follows:

- Gain access to avionics bay and cabin.

- Gain access to specific work areas.
- Install server tray mounting.
- Install 3G/4G Antenna mounting bracket.
- Prepare area for Cabin Control Panel (CCP) installation.
- Install CCP Blanking Panel (if STM80017A not being installed concurrently).
- Install Wireless Access Point (WAP) mounting plates.
- Install electrical bonding studs and grounding points.
- Work areas inspected and closed up.
- Aircraft records amended.

C. Manpower

33 man-hours (does not include sealant, paint or surface treatment curing times).
Mechanical and electrical skills are necessary.
