5. Detail Description of Tests
A total of 12 circular concrete cylinders with a diameter of 100 mm and height of 200
mm are prepared and tested. These cylinders are cast using iron cast moulds
available in the lab. Each of the cylinder was not reinforced with steel bars. After 28
days of casting, the specimens are compressed until failure using Universal Testing
Machine (UTM). The expected output is the complete stress-strain relationship of high
strength concrete. Besides, 2 circular RC columns with diameter of 150 mm and
length of 1200 mm are axially compressed till failure to obtain loading carrying
capacity and ultimate deflection.
